driftwood house
A beautifully appointed timber beach house renovated with simplicity and coastal living in mind. Driftwood House provides the guest with a relaxed and lay back base with all the comforts of home from which to explore the historic township of Robe and Limestone Coast region.

Driftwood is constructed of locally sawn timber and has floor to ceiling windows with plenty of natural light and a coastal airiness. It has water views of Fox Lake or “the Outlet” as the locals affectionately call it. Furniture includes old rustic Australian antiques and locally made timber pieces.

driftwood house robe beachside Driftwood is in a fantastic spot to go fishing or bird watching at the Outlet. It is also only a minute’s walk from Fox beach, a great spot for finding shells. If surfing or body boarding are more your thing Long beach is just around the corner. For something different, take a 20 minute very scenic walk along the cliffs into the old township to have breakfast at one of the local cafes.

The historic seaside township of Robe is one of South Australia’s most popular seaside destinations. Enjoy the magnificent coastal cliffside walks and beaches, take a heritage walk through the town centre or bushwalk in the Little Dip Conservation Park. Enjoy fresh lobster (in season) or dine on local produce in the local restaurants.

Try some fishing from the jetty or take a fishing charter out into Guichen Bay. A short scenic drive away you will find the Mt Benson cellar doors and for those that want to venture a bit further; the blue lake at Mt Gambier, the Coonawarra wine region and the World heritage Naracoorte caves.

It’s the ideal getaway for a couple or small family. So close to the beach you can hear the waves.
