Nestled in a private coastal setting and surrounded by beautiful
Long Beach and peaceful coastal wetlands it is ideal for
those who love being close to nature, taking long walks along
the beach, bird watching and trying a bit of fishing.
You can even take a beautiful walk along the cliffs into
the old township to have breakfast at one of the local cafes.
The Pelican Shed is constructed of modern corrugated
materials with floor to ceiling windows, glass louvres, large viewing deck and private garden. It has delightful
mix of rustic Australian furniture, locally made timber pieces
and modern fittings that give the property a wonderful inviting and
relaxed feel. Split system air-conditioning, big comfy couches,
fully equipped kitchen for those that like a cook up, Weber BBQ
and LCD TV are some of the stand out features. All bedrooms are
made up with good quality white linen and towels, the sleeping
configuration is a queen bedroom, double bedroom and two bedrooms
with a bunk in each. It has two bathrooms and laundry facilities.
A country style breakfast hamper stocked with local produce and
a bottle of Mt Benson wine is included with every stay.
The historic seaside township of Robe is one of South Australia’s
most popular seaside destinations. Enjoy the magnificent coastal
cliffside walks and beaches,
take a heritage walk through the town centre or bushwalk in the
Little Dip Conservation Park. Enjoy fresh lobster (in season)
or dine on local produce in the local restaurants. Try some fishing
from the jetty or take a fishing charter out into Guichen Bay. A short
scenic drive away you will find the Mt Benson cellar doors and for those
that want to venture a bit further; the blue lake at Mt Gambier,
the Coonawarra wine region and the World heritage Naracoorte caves.
